Bible Focus: 1 Samuel 12

• The prophet Samuel is old now, and first he confirms with the people that he is trustworthy, so that the hard thing he is about to say is understood as true. He ends with encouragement to follow the Lord with everything they’ve got - to stay on the right path.

Older Kids (2nd-5th grade):

• Memory verses:

  • 1 Samuel 12:24, “But be sure to fear the Lord and serve Him faithfully with all your heart; consider what great things He has done for you.”

  • 1 Samuel 13:14b, “…the Lord has sought out a man after His own heart and appointed him ruler of His people, because you have not kept the Lord’s command.”

  • 1 Samuel 14:6b, “…Perhaps the Lord will act in our behalf. Nothing can hinder the Lord from saving, whether by many or by few.”
