The Women's Ministry of Calvary Chapel Sarasota exists to glorify God through prayerfully planned activities and events for the women in our church and community, which our prayer is to promote spiritual growth and lead women to Christ.
Our prayer is that you would KNOW and GROW in your walk with the Lord, Jesus Christ.
Our Latest EventsOur Sip, Savor and Share event was such a blessing. During this event some of our ladies provided charcuterie boards of different themes. What a blessing to see the amazing talent within our Calvary Women's community. We also hosted a Dirty Soda Bar which was a great hit amongst the ladies. To top off the event, we heard an amazing testimony by Julieann Allen. Next we were blessed by Calvary’s very own Men's Ministry as they served us a delicious steak dinner. During this event we hosted Lori Jahn of Calvary Chapel Lakeland. Michele Gross - Leader

Michele and John have been married since 1991 and have 3 children with 2 in-loves and 2 grandchildren. Michele and her family have been attending Calvary Chapel Sarasota since 2020. Michele has a passion for women's ministry and teaching. Besides leading the Women's Ministry, Michele serves in the Great Commission Cafe and is Calvary Chapel School’s Office Manager.
Michele's favorite verse is Joshua 1:9"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go."
Amy Altieri

Amy has been married to her college sweetheart for almost 20 years. Their family began attending Calvary Chapel Sarasota when they relocated to the area in 2023. Although newer to the church, they were part of the online community while they waited to move. After visiting the church on a trip, they knew it was where they were going to attend one day. She has experience leading women’s groups, discipling women, and planning events. Amy has a heart for discipleship and encouraging women of our church.
Favorite verse is Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Jane is passionate about authentically loving and serving the Lord and others, and any type of marriage ministry. She still has a "mad crush" on her husband of 39 years, Chuck. They have 2 adult children and 3 wonderful grandchildren! They have called Calvary Chapel Sarasota home for over 25 years. They love serving as Premarital mentors and in the "Young Couples" small group. Jane loves encouraging and mentoring younger women in the Lord.
Titus 2:4-5 is her passion for the Women's Ministry. Her life verses are Psalm 37:4, John 10:10 and Romans 8.
Jane Benham
Kelly Burke

Kelly and Jim Burke have been married since 1992 and have four adult daughters and three sons-in-law. She serves in the children's ministry as well as the Helps ministry. Kelly teaches at Suncoast Technical College as a nursing instructor.
One of her favorite verses is Romans 12:13 "Share with the Lord's people who are in need. Practice hospitality."

Heather and Keith were high school sweethearts, and were married in 1991. They have 2 children, 1 son-in-law and 2 grandsons. Heather has been attending Calvary Chapel Sarasota since moving to Florida in 1999. She is involved with the Biblical Discipleship Ministry and has led many Bible Studies over the years. Her passion is to help women learn how to live out Titus 2:3-5.
One of Heather’s favorite verses is 1 Corinthians 9:24 – “Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize.”
Heather Chadwick
Rachel DeNagy

Rachel’s focus is to serve the Lord through encouraging and bringing together women of all ages. Her passion is sharing the hope and love of Christ with anyone who will listen. Rachel started attending Calvary Chapel at a young age in Idaho. Through God’s provision she moved to Sarasota and started attending Calvary Chapel Sarasota in 2024. She spends her time pouring into different church ministries as well as serving in the community.
Rachel’s favorite passage is Ephesians 3:14-21.
Lenabelle Vanlandingham

Lenabelle Vanlandingham is married to EJ. They have been married since 2001 and have two daughters, Emily and Lacey. Lenabelle and her family recently returned to Calvary Chapel Sarasota in 2020. She serves in the Lending Library along with leading/hosting the monthly Women's Fellowship. Lenabelle has a passion for encouraging and praying for her sisters in Christ.
Her favorite verse is Isaiah 41:10 - "Don't be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand. "
Joy Widrick

Joy has been attending Calvary Chapel for more than 20 years, and the church body truly feels like family to her. She is married to Joshua Widrick, who has also been an active part of the church for many years.
In addition to serving in women’s ministry, Joy is involved with the greeting team and the young adults group. She has a passion for being intentional in her conversations with other women and for growing together with them in their walk with the Lord. Professionally, she is a nurse specializing in rheumatology, where she cares for and encourages patients in their day-to-day lives.
Joy’s favorite verse is Philippians 4:6–7: “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
