VBS 2012 – Amazing Wonders Aviation
We teach, disciple, encourage, counsel, love on, worship with & play with babies up through 5th grade in age appropriate settings.
We have a set of volunteers that have been screened by background checks that love children and love God and want to share that “gift” from God with the kids that attend this church.
We use a variety of curriculum and programs to provide a rich learning environment that keeps kids coming back.
We are open to new ideas and always searching for better ways to accomplish God’s will for our kids, our volunteers, and the church as a whole.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
• To train the kids to have a healthy fear of the Lord (Proverbs 1:7, Proverbs 9:10, Job 28:28, Psalm 147:11)
• To instill God’s Word in their hearts and minds (Deuteronomy 6:5, Proverbs 7:1-3, John 14:15)
• To provide a safe and secure environment (Matthew 18:5-6)
• To let kids be kids and have fun (Matthew 18:3, Mark 10:15, Luke 18:17)
• To balance church activities with home life to not exasperate families (Ephesians 6:4)
We want to turn the children’s FAITH in Christ into a TRUST in Christ that becomes a REALITY for them, so they can be bold to live for Christ by their ACTION.
Children are taught the Bible and Biblical principles, loved on, and challenged to live for Christ by teachers who love the Lord and love to be involved in making disciples as commanded (Matthew 28:19-20). Children are taught in an age appropriate setting with age appropriate curriculum to ensure they are able to best comprehend the material presented.
Elementary kids learn God’s Word, play games, make crafts, memorize Scriptures, and get challenged with application to their lives during our mid-week services. We develop a year long in-house Bible study series each year to lead the children deeper into God’s Word. Our kindergarten children are taught basic Bible stories and Biblical principles mixed with crafts, games and snacks that make learning God’s Word fun.
